CALGARY, Alberta – CPHR Alberta, a professional association dedicated to strengthening the human resources profession, is excited to announce a partnership renewal with O.C. Tanner, a global company that develops strategic employee recognition and reward solutions to help people accomplish and appreciate great work.

O.C. Tanner is the global leader in software and services that improve workplace culture through meaningful employee experiences. Its Culture Cloud employee recognition platform helps people feel appreciated, do their best work, and want to stay. O.C. Tanner drives positive business results by helping millions of people thrive at work. O.C. Tanner’s Canadian operations are headquartered in Burlington, Ontario, with a local sales office in Calgary.

Each year, O.C. Tanner releases a Global Culture Report, uncovering the latest trends, statistics, and perceptions that are shaping workplace cultures around the world.  The oft-cited data is based on research with just over 38,000 workers around the world, at companies with 500+ employees on corporate culture, employee recognition, leadership, and wellbeing. The report empowers organizations to intentionally create healthy, productive workplace cultures by design.

As organizations continue to adapt to the sudden and substantive changes created by the crises of the past two years, the 2022 report examines the impact that hybrid workplaces, peak experiences, employee recognition, and the need for connection and autonomy will have on cultures and business performance.

“Employee recognition plays a large role in the workplace, especially in the hybrid setting that many have now become accustomed to. Meaningful recognition looks different for everyone, and there are many unique ways to ensure employees are feeling recognized. We are excited to once again be partnering with O.C. Tanner to provide our members with access to their Global Culture Reports which take a deep dive into the factors impacting employee recognition and its impact on workplace culture and performance” said Ioana Giurca, CPHR Alberta CEO.

CPHR Alberta members can access the 2022 Global Culture Reports here.

O.C. Tanner will be joining CPHR Alberta at their annual conference in September as a proud sponsor of the association’s Excellence Awards which recognize the exceptional HR leaders, students, organizations, and volunteers who are making Alberta's, the Northwest Territories' and Nunavut's workplaces better every day. Attendees will also be able to connect with O.C. Tanner at their exhibitor booth.

Additional CPHR Alberta member opportunities will be available in partnership with O.C Tanner in the fall of 2022. For more information on O.C. Tanner, visit octanner.com

I became a member of CPHR even before moving to Canada in July 2023. It was my way of getting a head start, learning how HR works here, connecting with professionals in the field, and preparing myself to step into the workforce with more confidence. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I made!

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become part of the HR vocabulary. No longer a future ambition, many HR teams have been exploring why, how, and where AI could be used to unlock productivity, enhance capabilities, and deliver new value, as well as which technologies can deliver on this.
