Jesse Grieder, CPHR, He/Him

Vice-Chair

Jesse is currently the Senior Vice President & Chief People Officer at YMCA of Northern Alberta with over 20 years of experience in public, private and not-for-profit companies spanning transportation, manufacturing, mining and community services.


Jesse began his early career working in finance before transitioning to operations leadership, ultimately moving into Human Resources where he’s helped transform the people approach at several large organizations, bringing a strategic and innovative approach to his roles.


Jesse is pursuing his ICD.D designation through the Institute of Corporate Directors, has served on the CPHR Alberta Board of Directors since May 2022 and is currently the Vice-Chair of the Board.  Jesse has significant not-for-profit board volunteer experience and enjoys spending time adding value to the various boards he is part of.  Jesse has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Acadia University and an MBA from Saint Mary’s University.  Jesse also has his CPHR, SHRM-SCP and MCIPD designations, while also working towards his leadership coaching designation.

Seeking CPHRs and Public Board Members 


The CPHR Alberta Board of Directors is looking for directors who are willing to share their time, talent, and expertise and be actively involved in shaping the future and long-term success of CPHR Alberta. We are seeking two (2) Chartered Members of CPHR Alberta that have, or are willing to make, connections in the community that will assist the Board's linkage to stakeholders, and up to two (2) public members with specific expertise.
