Associate Membership with CPHR Alberta is the first step towards becoming a CPHR. As an Associate Member of CPHR Alberta, you are eligible to write the National Knowledge Exam ® (NKE), your next step to becoming a CPHR. Learn more about how you can get your CPHR Designation here.
Associate Members are practicing professionals in human resources who have completed a post-secondary degree or two-year diploma in human resources. You can also be eligible for an Associate membership if you have a non-HR two-year diploma or non-HR degree and have completed the coursework requirement.
To apply for membership as an Associate Member you must:
- Provide documentation from a granting university in the form of official transcripts (Please note - official transcripts must be received directly from the institution in order to be accepted). Click here for our mailing address.
- Electronic copies of official transcripts will be accepted if sent to registrar@cphrab.ca directly from your Canadian post-secondary institution.
- If the degree or two-year diploma was completed outside of Canada, have International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or World Education Services (WES) send a basic assessment of the diploma/degree directly to our office.
