Our DEI Commitment
As an association, we believe that by the continuous learning and implementation of DEI practices within workplaces, we are strengthening organizations through fostering innovation, enhancing collaboration, and reflecting the diverse perspectives of the communities we serve.
While some in the public sector are taking action to remove or restructure their DEI programs, CPHR Alberta holds strong to our national competencies, continuing both our creation and curation of DEI professional development, partnerships and sponsorships.
Our association upholds the standards for professional practice in the field of human resources across our jurisdiction, and in doing so, we will continue to deliver professional development opportunities for our members and business community to further the learning and resources to support continued DEI practices within workplaces.

IDEA Community Membership
CPHR Alberta has proudly partnered with Inclusive Concepts to sponsor the IDEA Community Membership —a community designed to help organizations and individuals advance Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) in their workplaces.
This partnership demonstrates a shared vision of empowering HR professionals with the tools to address systemic barriers, create a sense of belonging, and support diversity and inclusion as important values across industries.

With Glowing Hearts
CPHR Alberta has successfully been accepted into the With Glowing Hearts program. This initiative underscores our commitment to supporting reservists within our workforce and highlights the invaluable contributions they make to both our organization and the community.
Policy Template
We have created a policy template that members can use to implement their own reservist leave policies. This template outlines the obligations of both the organization and the reservist, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial legislation. It includes details on eligibility, vacation days, pay, benefits, and procedures for requesting and returning from leave.
